Confidentiality & Respect for What We’re Building

End to End Automation No Workflows needed

We’re excited you’re here.

As you explore Founded in Canada and consider getting involved, you may come across information that isn’t public. That includes how we think about the ecosystem, what we’re building, how our systems operate, and how we work with founders, investors, and organizations across the country. We want to be able to share openly with you, and in return, we ask that you treat what you see and hear with care.

For the purposes of this agreement, any non‑public information you receive from us, in any form, is considered confidential. This includes product ideas, features, and roadmap direction; software, systems, models, and AI (including Polaris); internal tools, workflows, and operating methods; business strategy and positioning; partnerships, relationships, and ecosystem data; financial information and projections; user insights or platform activity; and anything shared in conversations, demos, documentation, or materials. Confidential Information also includes anything that would reasonably be understood to be confidential given the context in which it is shared.

By continuing, you agree to keep this information strictly private. You won’t share it with anyone else, directly or indirectly, and you won’t copy, reproduce, distribute, or reverse engineer anything you’re exposed to. You won’t use it for your own benefit or for the benefit of another person, company, or organization. You’ll only use it to evaluate whether you want to be involved with Founded in Canada. You also agree not to use anything you learn here to compete with, replicate, or build similar systems, products, or services, whether during this process or after.

You agree to take reasonable steps to protect this information, including limiting access, maintaining security, and avoiding situations where it could be exposed or misused.

There are a few common-sense exceptions. This agreement doesn’t apply to information that is already publicly available through no fault of your own, that you already knew before speaking with us, that you receive legally from someone else who has the right to share it, or that you develop independently without using or referencing anything we’ve shared.

If at any point we don’t move forward together, or you decide not to continue, we ask that you don’t retain or use any confidential information and that you continue to respect what you’ve learned. If requested, you agree to return or securely destroy any materials or information in your possession, including copies, summaries, or derivatives.

Everything we share with you remains the sole property of Founded in Canada. This agreement does not grant you any ownership, license, or rights to our intellectual property, systems, or materials, except for the limited right to review the information for evaluation purposes.

Nothing in this agreement creates any partnership, employment, or formal relationship between you and Founded in Canada, and nothing requires either of us to proceed. We may choose to stop conversations at any time, for any reason.

Your responsibility to protect confidential information begins as soon as you’re exposed to it and continues indefinitely, even after this process ends.

You understand that improper use or disclosure of confidential information could cause significant and irreparable harm. In the event of a breach or threatened breach, we reserve the right to pursue appropriate legal remedies, including injunctive relief, damages, or any other remedies available under law.

If you are ever required by law, regulation, or legal process to disclose any confidential information, you agree to provide prompt notice to us (where legally permitted) so we can take appropriate steps to protect it.

This agreement is governed by the laws of Canada and applicable provincial laws.

By proceeding, you confirm that you’ve read this, understand it, and agree to it.

We’re building something meaningful. Protecting it matters.
